Two Oak Park football players won the west Winnipeg curling championship in the 2025–26 season: Miles Girardin, who plays junior varsity, and Carter Gillam, who plays varsity.
Football is a ten-week season and the school year is forty. Most of the programme’s players are doing something else for the rest of it, and a good number of them are doing it well.
It is worth saying plainly because recruitment conversations often assume the opposite — that committing to football means giving other sports up. At Oak Park it demonstrably does not.
