Varsity win the Anavets Bowl
Oak Park 22, Dakota 17 — a year after losing the same final to the same club.
The varsity Raiders are WHSFL champions, beating the Dakota Lancers 22–17 in the Anavets Bowl.
It was the closest game of Oak Park’s playoff run and by some distance. The quarter-final against the Miles Macdonell Buckeyes finished 45–6 and the semi-final against the Vincent Massey Trojans 46–6; the final was a five-point game.
Oak Park had met Dakota once already in 2025, winning 11–3 on the road in the season opener — the lowest-scoring game either side played all year, and an early sign that this particular fixture was going to be tight whenever it came round again.
The season finished 6–1 in the regular season and 3–0 in the playoffs. The single loss, at home to St Paul’s in September, is the only game the varsity side lost all year.
